2021 READI Grant Application

The over $700 million of projects assembled around this plan is the start to what we believe will be billions in future returns.  It seems as if every day new opportunities enhance Northwest Indiana’s future.  They say luck is when preparedness meets opportunity. By growing this project list, identifying funding sources, and telling Northwest Indiana’s story, our ‘luck’ is just beginning.

Awarding our request of $52 million would generate more than $700 million of projects in our seven-county region. Our anchor institutions, key partnerships, and community players all agree that this will create monumental economic impact. Our IGNITE the Region plan continues to fuel growth and opportunity in our area. We have proven our ability to work together through this platform. 

The State’s investment in Northwest Indiana and the IGNITE plan will push us over the tipping point to accelerate our growth of talent, investment and per capita income. Helping us to achieve the vision of IGNITE:
